The purpose of achieving zero inventory management between STARCO and SCHPNY group is to reduce the amount of social labor (mainly to reduce the amount of capital) and to improve the economic benefits of logistics. If the zero inventory is only regarded as the quantity reduction or quantity change tendency of the storage in the warehouse, and ignores the change of other material factors, then the above goal is very difficult to realize. Because in the stock structure, stock layout unreasonable conditions, even if the number of inventory in some enterprises tends to zero or equal to zero, there is no inventory of goods, but from the whole society, because of repeated storage facilities exist, for the occupation of funds set up warehouse and warehouse maintenance did not reduce. Therefore, from the logistics point of view to study the movement of rationalization, zero inventory management should include two meanings: (1) the number of inventory goods tends to zero or equal to zero; (2) the number of inventory and inventory cost labor facilities and equipment at the same time tends to zero or equal to zero. In the latter sense, the zero inventory is actually the reasonable adjustment of the social inventory structure and the centralized inventory performance.
